Getting to the trap

In fact this game didn’t have anything to decide in case of the standings. The both teams seemed to finish the regular season on current seeds. Dynamo will start with 5th while Vityaz will start playoffs from the 6th.

In first period home crowd saw 29 shots on goal from both sides and zero goals. Vityaz dominated in the first three minutes of the second scoring two unanswered goals. Dynamo had good opportunities to turn the game around. But everything were moved to the third frame.

Dynamo started to play really aggressive and used powerplay chance. Ilya Kablukov used a pass from Vladislav Kodola to make the score 2-1 for Vityaz. We tried to save the game, but Alexei Volgin sent the puck into an empty net to finish it.

We’ll have few days of rest to meet again with Vityaz on February 22.
