Wolves trap

Dynamo started a home series with a win over HC Sochi.

For the second time in a week, we played against Sochi. That time at home after a visit to south of Russia. Coaches decided to put in the net Konstantin Volkov who made his debut in KHL.

Dynamo started aggressively playing on own strengths. Pavel Kudryavtsev opened the scoreboard but after coach’s challenge officials disallowed that goal. Later we lost Jakob Lilja because of injury.

Sochi had a number of chances at the start of the second, however Volkov played solidly that night. Later in the game Kudryavtsev and Dzhioshvili helped Vladislav Kodola to open the scoreboard. The price of mistake was huge. Amir Garayev could tie the game in the last minute of the play.

Hopefully for Dynamo when Andrei Nazarov pulled the goalie Dmitry Rashevsky sent the puck to an empty net.

Dynamo Moscow – HC Sochi – 2:0 (0:0, 1:0, 1:0)

Goals: 1:0 Kodola (Dzhioshvili, 34:42), 2:0 Rashevsky (O’Dell, 58:30)
