Stopping Vityaz

Vityaz was one of the team that didn’t taste the loss in new KHL season. Their goalie Dmitry Shikin was named the best goalie of the second week of the season.

The game started with good speeds and emotions from both teams. Dynamo played three times in shorthanded situations. PK units played solidly as well as goalie Ilya Konovalov.

Vityaz continued pressure in the second period however Dynamo also had a couple of chances to open the score. Konovalov played a perfect game stopping Vityaz from score in the beginning of the third period.

With 12 minutes left to play we acquired a PP chance that was used by Eric O’Dell. Dynamo played patient and was rewarded in the end when Jordan Weal scored an empty netter.
