First loss

Dynamo suffered first loss in the season in Saint Petersburg.

It was a main game of the day, two teams without losses yet in the season, so they needed to decide who continue a winning streak.

Dynamo showed from the first faceoff that they wanted to play active and make plays more that just wait for it. However, SKA was more effective in using chances. Two goals from Marat Khairullin concluded the first frame of the game.

At the start of the second period SKA increased their lead when Alexander Nikishin scored on the breakaway. The game became more nervous, few brawls and the period ended with an injury for SKA goalie Alexander Samonov.

The emotions flew away in the third period. But Dynamo was capable to cut the lead when Andrei Mironov sent the puck from the blue line. SKA needed only five minutes to restore a 3-goal lead and finish the game.

SKA – Dynamo Moscow – 4:1 (2:0, 1:0, 1:1)
