Bitter loss in overtime

The Blue-Whites suffered a bitter loss in Game #3.

Coaches made some changes in the bottom lines. Goalie Alexander Yeryomenko replaced Ivan Bocharov in the net.

SKA started the game well scoring the first goal in the debut. Vasily Podkolzin buried the rebound to give SKA a 1-0 lead. Later we got the momentum and mostly dominated on the ice. In the second period, Anton Burdasov made it 2-0 for the enemy team.

Our comeback started after Podkolzin’s minor penalty for holding. Dmitrij Jaskin scored on the powerplay. In the third period, our team controlled the game. Ivan Igumnov used a great pass from Andrei Sergeyev to make the game even. Sergeyev picked his 10th playoffs point tying scoring leader Sergei Tolchinsky.

For the first time this series headed to overtime where SKA scored a quick goal to get back a home ice advantage in the series.
