Dynamo finished the regular season with a huge win in Mytishchi.
There were a lot of different options and scenarios for our team with one gameday left in the regular season. We could meet with Jokerit, Severstal, or Dinamo Minsk. The answer we got with a final horn.
Coaches made some changes in the lineup and put Ivan Bocharov between the pipes.
We started good, Andrei Mironov sent Ivan Igumnov to a breakaway – 1-0 for Dynamo. In three minutes Kunlun Red Star has managed to tie the game. Gleb Shashkov buried the rebound from his own shot.
In the second period we started to increase our lead. Firstly Alexander Kucheryavenko scored his first goal for Dynamo then Daniil Tarasov made it 3-1.
In the third period our first line started to produce. Michal Cajkovsky scored on the powerplay and then Dmitrij Jaskin scored his 38th goal of the season. He became the best goal-scorer of the regular season as Vadim Shipachyov took the award for top scorer.
Dynamo Moscow will start the playoffs on March 2nd against Severstal.
