Start of the season

Avangard started the season earlier beating Sibir on home ice with minimal advantage – 1:0. During pre-season teams played twice against each other and exchanged with wins. Dynamo beat Avangard in Balashikha by 4-3 score and fall in Novogorsk by 2-7.

Unfortunately, we cannot allow us to use Teemu Pulkkinen and Oscar Lindberg in first game, so the question about our second line was very tough. Coaches decided to unite Vladimir Bryukvin, Ilya Shipov and Daniil Tarasov in one line. Avangard opened the scoreboard early in the game with Sergei Shumakov’s perfect shot. So our second line tied the game, Vladimir Bryukvin made the score even, Daniil Tarasov finally picked his 100th KHL point.

The second Avangard’s PP was better than first. Ivan Bocharov did not have a chance to stop Reid Boucher’s shot from his office. The next two periods were quite intensive, both teams had a couple of chances to score. However, that night we did not succeed in getting result.

On Monday we will start our home season with a battle against Spartak Moscow.
