Start from nothing

Dynamo lost in the fourth game of the series against Spartak

After loss in game #3 coaches decided to return goalie Alexander Yeryomenko as a starter. Maxim Afinogenov returned to the lineup as well playing his first game since February 19.

It was pretty even first twenty minutes however Spartak played more effectively. In two minute span they scored twice – our ex-forward Artyom Fyodorov scored on powerplay, Ilya Zubov doubled their lead after unlucky rebound from Andrei Mironov.

Spartak gave us a chance for comeback with two straight penalties, unfortunately their goalie Nikita Bespalov had a great night. Our PK teams did not work well allowing Kaspars Daugavins to bury the rebound. The real chance we had with few second on clock when only clearance from goalie zone helped enemy troops.

At the start of third frame we had a big number of powerplay opportunities. Our team was able to convert only one to a real goal. Vadim Shipachyov showed himself again. In the end we survived during PK2. The final score was set by Andre Petersson who somehow buried the rebound with 0:19 left to play. Unfortunately, Dynamo lost two games at Spartak home ice.

The series return to VTB Arena on March, 10 tied at 2.
