Marching to Derby

Dynamo lost in Minsk in last game of regular season

Before this game playoffs scenario for our team was quite simple. In case of win we will face Lokomotiv, if we lose against Spartak.

From the first seconds our team pushed hard on enemy’s net. To the end of the 6th minutes defensemen Yegor Zaytsev and Andrei Mironov created a 2-0 lead for our team. Then teams started to get too many penalties. In 4-on-4 format Andrei Kostitsyn scored the first goal for Minsk side. However, before the first intermission Dmirij Jaskin scored his 31st goal of regular season.

In second frame Dinamo needed four minutes to tie the game. Andrei Kostitsyn scored a hat-trick. Between these two goals our coaches changed the goalie – Alexander Yeryomenko came to the net instead of Ivan Bocharov. With 3:52 to play in this period Alexander Pavlovich gave Dinamo Minsk first lead of the game.

In last period we mostly played shorthanded but survived it. Unfortunately, we cannot turn the game around.

Dynamo is coming back home where will start first round on March, 2 against Spartak.
