In the second game of the home series we faced one of the hottest teams of October – Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. Defenseman Artyom Volkov watched the game from the stands, Alexander Yeryomenko played in the net.
It’s quite easy to reveal what was the character of the game. Battles in every piece of the ice. Lokomotiv looked better in the first period that reflected on the shot statistics – 12-6 for Yaroslavl.
Our coaches made a couple of changes that led to two goals in a 30 seconds span. Eric O’Dell and Stanislav Galiyev put their names on the scoreboard. Later in the period Slava Voynov made it 3-0 during a powerplay opportunity.
Lokomotiv pushed hard from the start of the third period. Denis Alexeyev was alone in front of the net when he cut our lead. Our penalty killing teams made a great job helping our Dynamo to not concede more pucks. Vadim Shipachyov won the game with an empty-netter.
